Union Fire and Death Benefits

Please be advised that Teamsters Local 743 offers a Fire Benefit up to $500 for Union Members who suffer a loss resulting from fire damage.  Members affected by fire damage are required to submit a City or Village Fire Department and/or Police Department Report showing occupant name, date of loss, damages and address.  If you are not the owner of the property, you may be required to submit additional documentation regarding your residency status.

The designated beneficiary of Union Members who pass away are eligible to receive a Death Benefit.  The amount of the benefit is determined by length of Union Membership.  In the event of a member’s passing, beneficiaries should immediately contact Adrian Lopez (773-254-7460) at Local 743 to obtain a list of the documentation required by the Union in order to collect the death benefit.

Beneficios Sindicales de Incendio y Fallecimiento

Se les notifica que Teamsters Local 743 ofrece un beneficio de incendio de hasta $500 para miembros sindicales quienes sufran una perdida como resultado de daños por incendio.  Los miembros afectados por daño de incendio serán requeridos a someter un reporte del Departamento de Bomberos de la Ciudad o el Pueblo y/o el Departamento de la Policía que muestre el nombre del ocupante, fecha de la perdida, daños y domicilio.  Si usted no es dueño de la propiedad, se le puede requerir documentación adicional referente a su estatus de residencia.

El beneficiario designado del miembro sindical quien fallezca es elegible a recibir un Beneficio de Fallecimiento.  La cantidad del beneficio se determina por el tiempo de su membrecía sindical.  En caso que fallezca un miembro, los beneficiarios deben contactar de inmediato a Adrian Lopez (773-254-7460) al Local 743 para obtener la lista de la documentación requerida por el Sindicato para poder colectar el beneficio de fallecimiento.
