Conglobal Industries 743 members ratified a 4-year agreement, effective February 1, 2014 through January 31, 2018.
The employees received improved Health, Dental, Short Term Disability and Life Insurance benefits. In addition, wages increase by $0.40, with a minimum starting wage increase
averaging $1.40.
ConGlobal will also oversee improvements to the facility’s safety equipment, including $150.00 per year to each employee for safety shoes and glasses.
Employees will also receive mandatory safety training on a monthly basis, on company time. Union Representative, Emma Moreno, wishes to thank the Conglobal membership for standing together, and fighting for a fair contract for both sides.
“These were difficult negotiations, as the company tried eliminate sick days, increase the Health Insurance and freeze the salaries,” says Moreno. “But thanks to the workers showing up and staying involved, the Company willingly negotiated a fair contract from which both sides can benefit.”
