| Teamster Ball Bearing Manufacturers Secure 5-Year Deal |
Bigger retirement benefits and smaller employee contributions for health insurance were the highlights of a new five-year contract recently ratified for Teamsters in north suburban Chicago. Seventy workers represented by Teamsters Local 743 will receive a 50 percent reduction in health care costs over the length of their agreement at Peer Bearing in Waukegan.

| National Container Teamsters Double Retirement Benefits |
Retirement benefits for Teamsters Local 743 members working at Chicago’s National Container Group will double over the course of a new four-year contract ratified Feb. 13. The longtime Teamster company will begin increasing its payments this year to the Local 743 Severance and Annuity Fund from $4 to $8 per week per worker.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2012 Teamsters Local 743 President’s Scholarship awards. Children of active, retired or deceased Local 743 members who are in their last year of high school are eligible.

| Hoffa Memorial Scholarships Now Available |
The James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund is accepting scholarship applications for the 2012/2013 academic year. The application deadline is March 31, 2012. One hundred and fifty scholarships will be awarded this year.
