Teamsters Local 743 members working at the University of Chicago Medical Center can now review management’s last-best-and-final offer for a new contract.

The university released the offer this past week. All members at the UCMC should receive copies of the offer, letters from the bargaining committee and additional details at their homes. All materials can be reviewed here online as well.

The attached document includes the university’s offer, as well as the Teamster committee’s recommendation. At the end of the document, all members are strongly encouraged to consider a “vote to strike” and the local union’s Strike Assistance Benefits package.

Local 743 members working at UCMC will receive additional details as they become available. Members will vote on the offer September 5-6. The contract bulletin with voting times for each division is included in the attached document.
